We take care to select high-quality materials for the GhostBed, each with a distinct and important function:

• Outer cover - made with a blend of quality fabrics, the cover wicks away heat and moisture to keep you cool

The GhostBed uses synthetic rubber latex, which is known for its versatility and durability.

The allergy risk is negligible, as the latex core is washed thoroughly and the proteins typically responsible for triggering allergic reactions are denatured by the high temperatures we use during manufacturing. According to medical literature, there haven’t been any cases of allergic reaction to latex mattresses.

The soft mattress cover will also protect your skin from direct contact.

Pillows may be either Nature’s Sleep or GhostBed pillows.

Yes, all of our mattresses are chemical-free. We do not use any harmful chemicals in the production of the mattresses and all materials used are CertiPur-US approved.

Yes, our materials are CertiPUR-US ® certified, which means they are:

• Made without ozone depleters
• Made without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (”Tris”) flame retardants
• Made without mercury, lead and other heavy metals
• Made without formaldehyde
• Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
• Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)

Like other high-end memory foam products, there may be a slight smell after you unbox the mattress. The initial smell is similar to a new pack of tennis balls or a new car. It’s normal and harmless, and will disappear with time!

The GhostBed Luxe is made using state-of-the-art, next-generation cooling technology. There are 2 stages of cooling that work together to keep you cool all night long:

• Stage 1: You'll experience instant chill thanks to our Ghost Ice Cover, designed with phase-change material and woven with cooling fiber.

• Stage 2:Directly below the cover is our Ghost Ice technology, designed to sense heat and adjust throughout the night. Typically, your natural body heat gets trapped within the layers of your mattress, leaving you hot and sweaty. Our cooling technology tempers this effect with phase-change material, which absorbs heat and prevents it from reaching the core of the mattress. The result? Definitely! The GhostBed Luxe provides a medium feel, with a full 7 layers of comfort. Its pressure-relieving gel memory foam and high-density foam core conform to your body, supporting your spine and alleviating pain throughout the night.

Tip: Add our adjustable base for even more relief from back pain! With your head and legs slightly elevated, your spine stays in perfect alignment for all-night comfort.

All 7 layers of the GhostBed Luxe are designed for maximum cooling! Gel memory foam is naturally cool and breathable, but we’ve gone above and beyond with additional features, including our cool-to-the-touch Ghost Ice fabric and our Ghost Ice technology, designed to sense heat and adjust as needed.

If you have shoulder or hip pain, we recommend shopping for a mattress that’s medium to plush. A medium mattress, like the GhostBed Luxe, features gel memory foam that contours to your body, instead of pressing against it. And with a high-density base layer as the foundation of the mattress, you still get ideal support and durability.

Keep in mind, however, that your sleeping position can affect your comfort as well.

Both the GhostBed Classic and the GhostBed 3D Matrix® are built in Canada & USA and are backed with our 20- to 25-year warranty. Choosing between the original GhostBed mattress will come down to the level of support and coolness you prefer.

It is! We’re proud to hold the patent for the ultra-cool gel polymer layer inside the GhostBed 3D Matrix®. Positioned in between layers of contouring and super-soft foam, the gel polymer layer absorbs excess body heat, and its unique shape helps drive that heat away from your body instead of leaving it trapped within the mattress.

Absolutely! And here’s the thing: adjustable air beds or “smart” beds aren’t just for tech geeks. Sure, the Ghost SmartBed offers tons of great features, like the easy-to-use companion app that allows you to toggle between settings and view your sleep stats. But really, it’s all about helping you stay perfectly comfortable all night long, so you get a great night of sleep without even having to think about it. Simply set your smart bed to Automatic Mode and let your mattress do the work.

If you’d rather play around with the settings, that’s an option too! Want a firmer mattress one night, and a softer one the next? We’ve taken our most luxurious mattress to date—the GhostBed 3D Matrix®—and made a few tweaks to turn it into the Ghost SmartBed. Adjustable air chambers take the place of the coils, but the top comfort layers are the same. You’ll stay cool and cozy with the gel memory foam layer, 3D Matrix polymer layer and our cool-to-the-touch Ghost Ice cover.

Setup is easy! You’ll receive two boxes: one with the bed’s pump, and another with the mattress itself. First, simply unbox and unroll your mattress to let it expand. Then, follow the steps in the User Guide or Setup Video to connect the pump and air chambers. Finally, download the GhostBed App and complete the final few steps within the app.

The Ghost SmartBed is compatible with any adjustable base, box spring or bed frame. It just needs a solid surface to sit on.

The bed connects directly to your mobile device or tablet, which is what you’ll use to control the settings. (Pretty cool, right? No remote to lose!) Devices are not included with the purchase of your smartbed.

To download the app, simply use any personal Android or iOS device to download via the Android or iOS app stores. You and your partner will each have a separate app for controlling your side of the bed.

Nope! With its own WiFi chip, the Ghost SmartBed allows for a direct connection if you prefer not to connect to your home network.

Our friendly Support Team is always happy to help! We have a dedicated team right here in the U.S. that can walk you through any issues. If anything ever needs to be replaced, the mattress’s modular design makes this easy. But you certainly shouldn’t expect that to come up—just like our other GhostBed mattresses, the Ghost SmartBed is made with the highest-quality materials. Plus, you’re covered with our industry-leading 25-year warranty.

If your power goes out, the mattress will lose its ability to adjust until it’s restored. It will stay in the position and firmness setting that you were last in, but it will not deflate, since the air chambers need electricity to open or close. Note: we highly recommend using a surge protector to prevent any damage to the pump’s internal electronics.

Here’s the good news: we get very few returns on the Ghost SmartBed - 3D Matrix®. Since it’s 100% customizable, it works for every sleeper type. If you’re not loving the comfort or feel of your new smart bed, you might simply need to play around with the settings a bit. Most people spend a good amount of time researching before buying a mattress for their bedroom. It makes sense—you’re about to spend every night on it! But isn’t vacay sleep just as important? Make the right choice for your RV by considering the following:

• What size do you need?
• Do you have any sizing limitations in your RV, such as a bunk bed style or a cut corner?
• What types of mattresses do you like?
• What “extras” do you like—cooling features, pillowtop, etc.?
• Is there a trial period, in case the mattress doesn’t fit your comfort needs?
• Is there a solid warranty, for peace of mind?

Great question! Although you can find RV-specific bedding, you can easily adapt our cooling mattress protector to the GhostBed RV. With our signature 2” elastic band around it, it’ll stay in place perfectly.

We recommend getting the regular sheet size that corresponds to your mattress; our luxury cooling bed sheets have a 2” elastic band around the fitted sheet edges to keep them in place, so even though the short queen mattress is a tad bit shorter, they’ll still fit perfectly. Simply tuck the top sheet in, and you’re all set.

At this time we do not offer White Glove Setup for the GhostBed RV. But don’t worry—since it comes in a vacuum-packed box, it’s actually pretty easy to move! Just enlist a friend to help you bring the box into your RV.

All mattresses are shipped compressed and vacuum-packed, and are delivered by FedEx. This means that your mattress will arrive in a much smaller box than you’re probably expecting. Don’t be alarmed! Our cutting-edge technology allows us to safely compress the bed for shipping.

As soon as you unpack your mattress, it will expand to its normal size. And watch it open—you’ll like what you see!

After delivery, you can keep the mattress in the box for up to 6 months. We recommend opening your mattress before then to ensure the best results when expanding it to its proper shape and size.

The GhostBed Massage is like nothing you've ever experienced! As you start your massage, you'll feel the air cells beneath you inflating and deflating. You can choose from a variety of preset programs, like gentle rolling and waves. Play around to find what you like!

The pressurized air works to compress and decompress your muscles, which can help stimulate local blood flow. Dial up the intensity for a similar stretch to a foam roller, or keep it low‐intensity as a way to relax and soothe sore areas.

Keep in mind it's a little different from a deep‐tissue massage at a spa or the percussive movements you might be used to from a massage chair. Air pressure massage might be a new sensation for you, but we know you're going to love it.

Nope! The air cells in the Ghost Massage Layer are soft, thin and undetectable when there aren't any programs running. All you'll feel is the ultra-comfortable (and cooling) cover and the cushiony, pressure‐relieving foam layers beneath you.

Extremely easy. All the components are sewn securely into the mattress, except for the control boxes and the air tube connector. There are just a few steps you'll need to do after you've unboxed everything.

While your mattress is decompressing, here are the steps you'll take:

1. Connect the air tubes in the mattress to the control box.
2. Plug the control box into an outlet.
3. Repeat with the other air tubes and control box.
4. Press the power button on each remote.

That's it! You can tuck the control boxes under your bed so they're out of the way. Once your mattress has fully decompressed, it's time to try out the massage settings!

The GhostBed Massage mattress supports an industry‐leading 750 pounds when combined with a sturdy foundation.

Inside the mattress, high-quality foam layers ensure long‐term durability. Plus, the super-strong air cell layer is specially designed to withstand daily exertion.

The GhostBed Massage pairs perfectly with our premium GhostSheets and waterproof GhostProtector. The signature GhostGrip elastic band on our sheets grips your mattress securely, even when the air cells are fully inflated.

With the dual‐sided design, you'll just need to choose a side of the bed (left or right) for the best massage experience. Then, you can position yourself in whatever way you'd like—back, side or stomach—to spot‐treat certain areas.

Note: Twin XL mattresses have one massage unit inside.

Your mattress will need to stay head‐up to keep the massage unit connected, so there is no need to rotate it.

Nope! You'll just need an open electrical outlet within five feet of your bed so you can connect the control boxes. We recommend using a surge protector if you're planning to use our luxury Adjustable Base with your mattress, as then you'll need a total of three open outlets.

The GhostBed Massage offers a unique mattress experience with built-in air pressure massage. With this type of massage, air cells directly below you inflate and deflate to apply soft pressure and gently stretch your muscles.

The Adjustable Base, on the other hand, uses vibration technology. The motor is located on the base, but it’s powerful enough that you can feel it all the way through your mattress. You can choose between head or foot, multiple preset modes, and 3 intensities to customize your experience.

They both feel amazing, so it’s up to you to find your preference!

The GhostPillow comes in two sizes: standard (16" x 24") and queen (16" x 28"). Both have a 6" loft.

The GhostPillow ‐ Gel Memory Foam was the first in our GhostPillow collection, and it's a best‐seller to this day. Its patented design keeps you at a neutral temperature for comfortable sleep. Hot sleepers love it, but it works for everyone!

The power is in the layers, which all work together. The Ghost Ice cover provides an instant chill, while the inner materials maintain your body temperature. Nope, your GhostPillow will be ready to cool upon contact! You'll get continuous temperature regulation throughout the night, and for as long as you have your pillow.

We like to say that the GhostPillow is the perfect combination of fluffy comfort and soothing support. While it has the typical slower response that you get from a memory foam pillow, you won't feel stuck. You'll find that it gently cradles your head and neck, with just the right amount of support and pressure relief.

Most customers describe The GhostPillow ‐ Gel Memory Foam as a medium loft, but even that can feel too high or too thick for some. One option is to position the pillow so it's supporting more of your shoulders, not just your head. This will keep your chin from dipping down to your chest.

You might also prefer the GhostPillow ‐ Shredded, which is our adjustable pillow. You can add or remove the soft inner fill to customize its loft.

Many of our customers tell us their neck and shoulder pain disappeared after they switched to the GhostPillow! While this kind of pain can be due to a number of reasons, choosing the right pillow is a big factor.

Side sleepers, especially, need a higher‐density pillow (like the GhostPillow) to keep their body aligned. Back sleepers will also appreciate the medium loft, which supports your head without overextending it.

Absolutely! The GhostPillow ‐ Gel Memory Foam is hypoallergenic, resistant to dust mites, and made using CertiPur‐US® approved gel memory foam. This means it's been rigorously tested for things like heavy metals and ozone depleters, and meets US standards for low VOC emissions.

Nope! The GhostPillow has its own zippered, removable and washable cover. It's super soft and kind to your skin so you can use it without a pillowcase, but if you'd like to use a regular pillowcase, you certainly can.

We recommend washing The GhostPillow ‐ Gel Memory Foam's outer zippered cover every week or two to keep it fresh. Wash the cover in cold water on a gentle cycle and then line dry.

You can spot‐treat your GhostPillow's inner memory foam core with a clean, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not submerge.

The GhostPillow ‐ Gel Memory Foam is designed and engineered in the United States. While we would have loved to keep production in the U.S., our number one goal is creating the highest quality products available. We've partnered with a factory in Asia that offers the sophisticated expertise needed for our pillow design. Rest assured that every partner is held to the highest standards and carefully vetted to ensure that you're getting the high‐quality GhostBed products you're used to.

The GhostPillow is crafted with high-quality CertiPUR‐US® memory foam, which sometimes has a slight smell when it's unboxed. This is normal and harmless, and will fade with time! If you'd like to speed up the process, we recommend opening a window or using a fan to air out the pillow for 24 hours before using it.

The GhostPillow Shredded is filled with the perfect blend of memory foam and microfiber for maximum support. Plus, you can customize it to the exact firmness you like by removing or adding fill. The pillow caresses and gently cradles and contours your head, neck and shoulders, while the Ghost Ice cover neutralizes heat and keeps you cool.

Regular and shredded memory foam are both amazing for contouring your head and neck, providing support and all-night comfort. With shredded memory foam, the foam is—yep, you guessed it—shredded into smaller pieces. Since the shredded foam can all move independently, this makes it much more moldable. You can squish, sculpt and shape your pillow however you like it.

Additionally, shredded memory foam makes for a more customizable pillow overall, because you can take out (or add) chunks to achieve the right amount of fill for you. The GhostPillow Shredded Memory Foam makes this easy with its zipped inner cover.

The lightweight cover is made with our Ghost Ice fabric. It is cool, soft and breathable for maximum airflow and can be removed and spot cleaned.

The massage feature on the Adjustable Base uses vibration technology for a nice soothing sensation. The motor is located on the base, but it’s powerful enough that you can feel it all the way through your mattress. You can choose between head or foot, multiple preset modes, and 3 intensities to customize your experience.

The GhostBed Massage, on the other hand, offers a unique mattress experience with built-in air pressure massage. With this type of massage, air cells directly below you inflate and deflate to apply soft pressure and gently stretch your muscles. Finding the right mattress can be tough—a lot of it depends on your sleeping style, weight and a host of other personal factors. Luckily, a mattress topper is an easy way to quickly adjust the comfort of your current setup.

You’ll place your mattress topper directly on top of your mattress, so it should be the same exact size: a queen-size topper goes on a queen-size mattress, and so on.

The answer to this will come down to your preferences! If you enjoy the personalized comfort that a split king mattress provides (especially when paired with an adjustable base), you’ll probably want two twin-XL toppers. But if you usually sync your two mattresses to act like a typical king-size bed, purchasing a king-size topper can bridge the inner gap, if that’s what you prefer.

The GhostBed Memory Foam Topper comes with a removable, machine-washable cover for added convenience. We recommend washing the cover on a gentle cycle with cool or warm water, followed by a low-heat and low-tumble drying cycle. The topper itself can be spot-cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild detergent if needed, but should not be submerged in water.

Note: If you notice slight discoloration or fading, this is normal! Even our CertiPUR-US®️ memory foam is susceptible to oxidation, which is a natural discoloration that happens when foam is exposed to air. This is not harmful or toxic, nor will it affect the performance and comfort of your topper. The included waterproof cover will help the topper itself stay clean and dry.

You may have heard the recommendation to choose a weighted blanket that’s about 10% of your body weight. While safety is certainly a consideration—your blanket should not be too heavy for you to move, for example—keep in mind that this is simply a recommendation! The 15 lb weight is the perfect “sweet spot” for most adults. Plus, it pairs well with the generous queen size, allowing the glass bead fill to stay evenly distributed at all times.

Note: At the 15 lb weight, we do not recommend this blanket for kids or adults under 80 lbs. Please keep away from children and pets.

If you’ve tried out your GhostBed mattress for at least 30 days and decided the comfort or feel isn’t quite right, you can start the return process by getting in touch here.

We ask that you give your GhostBed a solid 30 night try before initiating a return. Many people find it takes at least two weeks to get used to a new mattress, especially when switching from a traditional innerspring to a foam mattress. Plus, your mattress may need a little time to "break in" to feel just right. After GhostBed has been in your home for at least 30 nights, you can start the easy return process.

The 101-Night Sleep Trial covers our GhostBed mattresses as well as our GhostPillows. All other items are final sale and can not be returned.

No, standard delivery is only to your front door. The carrier is only responsible for bringing your purchase that far. You’ll need to personally bring it inside and set it up. They may even leave your items at your door if you are not home, so plan to be home for your delivery if possible.

After delivery, you can keep the mattress in the box for up to 6 months. We recommend opening your mattress before then to ensure the best results when expanding it to its proper shape and size.

The dimensions of a full size mattress are 54 inches wide by 74 inches long. Compare this to a twin’s 38 inches in width, for a whopping 16 extra inches to spread out. It’s still much smaller than a queen size mattress, however, with the latter clocking in at 60” x 80”.

Yes, 2 people can fit on a full mattress—but it’s not ideal. The width of a full mattress is 54 inches, which means each person would get 27 inches of space. If you’re OK with getting cozy, it can work! If you prefer to stretch out, however, you may want to go with a larger mattress size.

Since a Cal King mattress is longer than a traditional king, you’ll need to purchase the right sheets to ensure a good fit. We offer our luxury sheet and pillowcase set in twin to Cal king sizes.

What is a split king mattress, exactly? Size-wise, they’re exactly the same; the main difference is that a split king is actually made up of 2 twin XL mattresses, placed side by side. There are a couples of reasons to choose the split king option:

In the colder winter months, your GhostBed may take up to 5 days to fully decompress. If it sat on a cold truck or in a cold warehouse, the temperature-sensitive materials will need plenty of time to take their natural form.

Your GhostBed mattress never needs to be flipped, since the memory foam and latex comfort layers are on the top side. To increase the longevity of the mattress, we recommend rotating the mattress 180 degrees or head-to-toe every 3 months.

Cleaning your memory foam mattress is easy! You can vacuum the mattress to get rid of surface dirt, dust, lint and more. You can also spot clean the mattress (as well as the cover) to address stains. After cleaning, we recommend placing your mattress outside in the sunshine to let nature help out!

The outer cover on all GhostBed mattresses may be removed and spot cleaned with cold water and a mild detergent. Allow it to dry before placing it back on your mattress. Do not tumble dry and do not bleach.
