Most customers describe The GhostPillow ‐ Gel Memory Foam as a medium loft, but even that can feel too high or too thick for some. One option is to position the pillow so it's supporting more of your shoulders, not just your head. This will keep your chin from dipping down to your chest.

You might also prefer the GhostPillow ‐ Shredded, which is our adjustable pillow. You can add or remove the soft inner fill to customize its loft.

Many of our customers tell us their neck and shoulder pain disappeared after they switched to the GhostPillow! While this kind of pain can be due to a number of reasons, choosing the right pillow is a big factor.

Nope! The GhostPillow has its own zippered, removable and washable cover. It's super soft and kind to your skin so you can use it without a pillowcase, but if you'd like to use a regular pillowcase, you certainly can.

We recommend washing The GhostPillow ‐ Gel Memory Foam's outer zippered cover every week or two to keep it fresh. Wash the cover in cold water on a gentle cycle and then line dry.

You can spot‐treat your GhostPillow's inner memory foam core with a clean, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not submerge.

The GhostPillow is crafted with high-quality CertiPUR‐US® memory foam, which sometimes has a slight smell when it's unboxed. This is normal and harmless, and will fade with time! If you'd like to speed up the process, we recommend opening a window or using a fan to air out the pillow for 24 hours before using it.
